The Holyoke Housing Authority (HHA) owns and operates 821 conventional public housing units in 12 developments and scattered sites throughout the city, ranging from high-rise apartments to multi-family and single-family homes.

The HHA also administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Massachusetts Rental Voucher programs, which provide rental vouchers for approximately 1,400 units of housing in the private market.

HHA is one of the initial 39 agencies chosen to participation in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developmentā€™s Moving to Work (MTW) program demonstration. The MTW program grants HHA regulatory flexibility to develop and implement innovative locally tailored approaches to housing solutions.

As a public housing authority, our mission and objective is to provide safe, affordable housing to low- and moderate-income people.
