As part of a five-year plan, the HHA has completed the first phase of a large-scale modernization effort at Toepfert Apartments! Residents were successfully relocated to new apartments to ensure an entirely vacant building to complete the substantial rehabilitation.  Each phase will include the installation of new flooring, complete kitchen and bath upgrades, heating, and electrical system improvements, as well as exterior porch renovations. The HHA is thrilled with the progress thus far and we look forward to continuing this important work.

In an effort to ensure that our employees are as prepared as possible in the event of such a tragedy, HHA employees attended a mandatory active shooter training facilitated by Protective Advanced Safety Services (PASS) out of Agawam, MA.

This training provided extensive and customized emergency response techniques as well as scenarios using “blanks” to simulate live gunfire. We are grateful to John, Steven, and their team for taking the time to effectively train and empower HHA staff. We highly suggest this training for local workplaces in the area.
